As seen from the south, Ash church appears typically Kentish, with it russet-tiled nave and slightly lower chancel, and the sturdy battlemented west tower and polygonal stairturret. The chancel and the tower date from the thirteenth century, and the nave was rebuilt in its present spacious form with aisles in the later Middle Ages. |

Summer Alp who is a third year undergraduate at the RCM, studying the recorder with Ashley Solomon, Julien Feltrin and Maria Martinez-Ayerza and the baroque oboe with Gail Hennessey Sarah Small who is is a recorder and viola da gamba player in her fourth year at the RCM. She studies recorder with Ashley Solomon, Julien Feltrin and Maria Martinez Ayerza, and viola da gamba with Reiko Ichise. Cobham Church is a very old church standing on a hill in the centre of the village. Early in the thirteenth century the de Cobhams began to provide money for rebuilding the existing old church.
