Here is a summary of our plans:

Tour to Norwich Thursday 30th May to Sunday 2nd June.

Thursday, May 30th. Travelling by coach from Vigo Village School, Erskine Road, Vigo Village, Nr Meopham, Kent, DA13 0RL (Roseway Coaches, as used for our trip to Chelsea in December 2023.) The coach and driver will not be staying with us. Leave Vigo School at 10a.m. Stopping on the way at Anglesey Abbey House and Gardens CB25 9EJ. This is a National Trust property, page 217 in the 2024 handbook. Free entry to members (so remember to take your membership card.)

Check into the Premier Inn, Duke Street, Norwich NR3 3AP from three p.m. depending upon journey time . This is centrally located in the city. Rooms are booked on a bed and breakfast basis. Evening meal at hotel

Friday, May 31st breakfast 8.30am tbc . Walking tour 10.30/10.45/11.00 leaders Linda, Jane S and Judy. Tour 1 3/4 hour, start from Old Forum finish at Cathedral at 12.15. 12.30 and 12.45. Sign up on day for groups. Cathedral tour 3pm duration: one hour . Evening meal at Bella Italia, 3 Red Lion Street , Norwich, NR1 3QF. 6.30pm

Saturday, June 1st early breakfast from 8am as need to be at Bishy Barney boatyard, Yarmouth Rd, Norwich NR7 0HE for 10am. Transport arrangements to boats tbc (bus taxi or walk ) 2 hours duration, finish at 12.00 noon. Lunch booked at Rivergarden Waterside pub & Kitchen, 36 Yarmouth Road Norwich NR7 0EQ, 2 mins from boatyard. Marion S is organising taxi back to hotel (further info available later).

Concert at St. Stephen's church Rampant Horse Street, NR2 1QP approx.12-15mins from hotel on foot. 4pm rehearsal, concert 6.30p.m. Possible supper/drinks at the hotel afterwards from 8.30 /9pm onwards (TBC)

Sunday, June 2nd depart check out before 12.00 noon and on coach ready to start journey sharp at 12.00.

Visit to Audley End House and Gardens, CB11 4JF. This is an English Heritage property, page 138 in that handbook. Free entry to members (so remember to take your membership card.) Arrive back in Vigo early evening, exact time to be confirmed.

Full payment should be made to the Vigo Singers account by 1st April 2024 ( nb.this is Easter Bank holiday Monday) as both the hotel and the coach company require payment in advance. Please do not pay cash. BACS is much easier for our overworked treasurer. Nicky will prepare individual costings. Details of what you owe will be sent as soon as arrangements are finalised.
