Tour to Portsmouth Thursday 28th May to Sunday 31st May, 2026.

There are 27 singers, 2 Friends of Vigo Singers, John and Janet (with a possible friend each.)
Plans are taking shape. We have booked travel with Roseway coaches. We estimate a cost of £53 pp return (including tip.)
Accommodation has been booked at the Holiday Inn Express in Gunwharf Quays, a very central location in the historic part of Portsmouth.

11 rooms have been reserved for those who requested sole use. The cost of these will be £357 pp for 3 nights on a b&b basis.
11 rooms have been booked on a shared basis. The cost of these will be £387 per room and therefore £193.50 pp for 3 nights on a b&b basis.

We are working on finding a choir to share any concert, and also a venue for said concert.

We are planning a variety of enjoyable activities that you can buy into which may include a visit to the Spinnaker Tower, the historic dockyard (Mary Rose and/or Victory) and a harbour boat tour. Other ideas welcome.

At this stage we are requesting a one-off tour fee of £40 pp, to be paid if possible by half term, by singers only please. (Not FOVS.) This is NOT a deposit and is non-returnable but is designed to cover inevitable tour costs such as venue hire, professional fees etc. Should there be anything remaining in this fund at the end, we shall earmark it for a special occasion/celebration in the future.
